National Seal Sanctuary

National Seal Sactuary

The National Seal Sactuary is set in the Helford Estuary in nearby Gweek. The Seal Sanctuary rescues and rehabilitates injured and orphaned Seals and Pups.

One of the many beautiful gardens in Corwall, Glendurgan is not far away in the village of Mawnan Smith. The path leads down to the beautiful fishing village of Durgan. The gardens are open from March to October.

The famous St Michaels Mount and village of Marazion are just 15 miles from us. When the tide is out you can walk over to the mount on the "Giant's Causeway". and visit the Medieval Castle on top of the mount and its surrounding gardens.

Carved into a clay pit near the town of St. Austell (about 40 miles from us), the Eden Project is a set of "biomes" containing microclimates supporting plant from different climates around the world including the Rainforest and the Mediterranean.

About 12 miles away in Falmouth is the National Maritime Museum in Cornwall (NMMC). It contains displays of maritime artifacts, and boats throughout history, with events going on from time to time.
